COVID-19 and beyond for Tourism Eastland Members

Kia ora to all our Tourism Eastland whānau,

The executive would like to encourage members to participate in all communications with our RTO (regional tourism organisation) working on the future promotion of our beautiful piece of paradise.

To quote the RTO regarding this time of year, "Matariki provides us with an opportunity for reflection and to re-prioritise what is important to us. Traditionally a time for new beginnings - it is a chance to open our minds, to learn and grow, planning ahead for the coming year."

Working together is key and any of us are here to help or listen to your concerns. Our contacts can be found on this website should you wish to reach out, even if it is just for a chat.

We suggest working with other operators with innovative ideas to package together your products using your combined knowledge focusing on the domestic market. Your Tourism Eastland executive has experience in promoting packaged products so don't hesitate to contact us with any queries. In addition, you can connect with our local business community for advice on how to streamline your operation

Gisborne Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Tourism Organisation.

Tourism Eastland is a member of TIA so our members can utilise their research, expertise and relationships.

Examples are:

- Supporting the New Zealand Tourism Industry through COVID-19.

Unite for the recovery is the Government website about COVID-19.

 - See your own backyard is the tourism page.
