COVID-19 Update for Tourism Eastland Members

Kia Ora to all our Tourism Eastland Whānau,

The executive hopes that you are managing to remain positive in these uncertain times. Please remember that we are all in this together and any of us are here to help or listen to your concerns. Our contacts can be found on this website should you wish to reach out even if it is just for a chat.  Some of you may have returned to work in your business and would be great to have feedback from you as to how this is going ie. the increased time and costs, etc.

We would like to share some of the various links for financial help that is available for your business and encourage you to take up these options if you require them. We have also attached links for sites that you might like to register on to promote your businesses they are all gaining the momentum to shop locally and/or New Zealand made.

Working together is key. Here are some suggestions for other actions you can take:

·         Contact TIA or RA with questions or ideas—we will try to find answers for you and help spread innovative ideas

·         Work with other operators on scenarios for providing activities safely at the different alert levels

·         Work with other operators on innovative ways to utilise your knowledge and assets into the domestic market

·         Please connect with your local business community for advice on how to streamline your operation through this time e.g. Gisborne Chamber of Commerce, your Regional Tourism Organisation, Economic Development Agency.
